College Football Week 13 picks by The Spun staff members.
Here we are: Rivalry Week. The biggest college football weekend of the year is upon us, and with it, some of the biggest games of the entire season, with the four College Football Playoff spots on the line.
The Playoff field won’t be decided until after next weekend’s conference championships, but this weekend’s huge games lay the groundwork for Championship Week.
Last weekend in The Spun staff picks, Matt Lombardi and Andrew McCarty tied at 31-7, pushing Matt’s lead in the season-long contest to five games. The rest of us looking to catch him are in serious crunch time, without many games left to pick.
Here are the full office standings through 12 weeks:
We have three big days of football ahead of us. On Thanksgiving night, Texas A&M hosts LSU. If Ed Orgeron wants a shot at the full-time job, he absolutely needs to knock off the Aggies after last weekend’s surprising loss to the Florida Gators.
Friday is full of games this week, including the biggest edition of the Apple Cup in years. Washington and Washington State is now a Pac-12 North title game, with College Football Playoff implications for the Huskies. Win, and then beat Colorado or USC in the conference title game, and they have a very good case.
Saturday is the big one, with The Game between Michigan and Ohio State, the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn, and some very nice undercard games like Florida-Florida State and Colorado-Utah.
Here are our staff picks for every Power Five and Top 25 game for College Football Week 13.
