Ohio State OL Demetrius Knox Reportedly Out For Season With Broken Foot

OSU offensive lineman Demetrius Knox to be out for several months with a broken foot.

Demetrius Knox, a redshirt sophomore guard from Texas, will undergo surgery for his broken foot Friday morning, according to a report from ElevenWarriors.com.

This is not the first time Knox has had foot trouble. He previously suffered a broken foot injury back in February 2015, missing all of spring practice as a result.

It's bad news for an Ohio State team that is already dealing with a plethora of injuries on the offensive line. Junior college transfer Malcolm Pridgeon suffered a knee injury back in August, and is not expected to return for at least a couple months.

This season, Knox has served primarily on special teams, though he did see time on the offensive line in wins over Bowling Green and Tulsa.

He was listed as the backup right guard to redshirt junior Billy Price heading into this Saturday's contest versus Rutgers.
