On Friday morning, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith made headlines for all the wrong reasons once again when he gave a completely inaccurate take about the upcoming NFL draft.
Smith was asked to choose between Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins and Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray as the best quarterback in the class.
While the question is difficult to answer considering both quarterbacks were among the very best in college football this season, Smith made a bone-headed comment that received hefty criticism.
He called Haskins “more of a runner than a thrower” even though Haskins threw for over 4,800 yards and 50 touchdowns while running for just north of 100 yards on the entire season.
After the segment went viral for Smith’s blatant misguided attempt at college football analysis, Haskins finally responded on Twitter.
“Run or throw Ima still win the game,” Haskins said with a popular meme of LeBron James.

Haskins clearly isn’t phased by Smith’s comments – no matter how ludicrous they are. That will bode well for the former Ohio State star as NFL scouts try their darnedest to trip Haskins up on a variety of topics.
He’s clearly the most-gifted passer in the 2019 class and will likely be the No. 1 quarterback selected in the draft come April.
