Just a few weeks ago, five-star cornerback Dwight McGlothern was set to announce a commitment.
The 2020 prospect was believed to be down to a four-team group of Alabama, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M, with the Aggies as the leader.
On December 12, he tweeted that he would be making the announcement on January 5.
The day before that was set to happen, the staff shake-up at Ohio State seemed to inspire him to back away from his impending commitment decision.
After Alex Grinch departed the Buckeyes to take the defensive coordinator job at Oklahoma, McGlothern tweeted that Grinch hadn’t been recruiting him hard to Ohio State, and that he wanted to be.
The next day, no decision came, and now McGlothern has really expanded his recruiting horizons.
This morning, Dwight McGlothern tweeted out a list of 11 programs that he plans to visit.
Obviously he only has five official visits to take next season, so we could see a bunch of unofficials so that he can narrow down the list.

For those less aware of school-specific hashtags, that list is Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, Georgia, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida State, Penn State, and Oregon.
The Bulldogs, Wolverines, Sooners, Seminoles, Nittany Lions, and Ducks weren’t really in the running before, so they all have a big opportunity to make a splash with the blue-chip corner. Oklahoma’s place on the list is particularly interesting considering Grinch is now leading that defense, and is ostensibly a reason that McGlothern has reopened things.
247Sports has McGlothern as the No. 34 overall 2020 recruit. He’s the No. 4 cornerback, and the No. 4 player in Texas.
