Eli Apple, Ex-OSU Star, Looks Jacked At Giants' Camp

New York Giants rookie and former Ohio State star Eli Apple won't turn 21 until a week from today. Still, the first-round draft pick looks physically impressive at his first NFL training camp.

The Giants posted photos of Apple signing post-practice autographs. He looks pretty yoked up, and the Ohio State Twitter account took notice.

Suns out, guns out for Eli Apple.

Mickey Marotti is of course Ohio State's renowned strength coach. Apple has come a long way from his days as a thin freshman at Ohio State in 2013.

The No. 10 pick in this year's draft, Apple is expected to be thrust straight into the fire in New York. He has all the physical tools one looks for in a corner, but needs to get savvier and cut down on his hand usage downfield.

Apple performed well at minicamp in June and has seen a lot of work in training camp thus far. When he sees the field this fall, he could line up outside and push veteran Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie into the slot.

Wherever he winds up, he's going to be tested in a division that contains Dallas' Dez Bryant, Washington's DeSean Jackson and Philly's Jordan Matthews, among others.
