The College Football Playoff picture got shaken up this evening, as the No. 2 team in the country, Ohio State, fell on the road in blowout fashion to Purdue.

Now, the Buckeyes can still make the playoff - if they win out and win the Big Ten, they'll almost certainly be in - but the picture is looking different as Week 8 comes to a close.

ESPN has updated its College Football Playoff prediction following the Buckeyes' loss to the Boilermakers. We have a new team in Ohio States's spot.

Here's the new projection:

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Oklahoma

Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame are all going to make the playoff if they win out. Oklahoma, meanwhile, might still need some help. If Ohio State or Michigan wins out, the Sooners would probably be supplanted by one of those two teams.

Stay tuned.
