ESPN Releases New College Football Power Rankings After Week 8

Clemson and LSU highlighted in ESPN CFB power rankings.

There were some crazy finishes Saturday.

It's not often college football fans are able to witness two quadruple overtime games in the same day, but they had the chance to do so this past weekend with Duke vs. Virginia Tech and Auburn vs. Arkansas. It's not often a game ends with a blocked field goal returned 78 yards for a touchdown as time expires either, but again, they had the chance to witness that as well when Georgia Tech pulled out a shocker in Atlanta against Florida State. It was quite the weekend.

Four top-25 teams were defeated - two of which were top-10 teams - shaking things up in this week's ESPN Power Rankings. After an impressive win over Rutgers, Ohio State reclaimed the top spot, jumping Baylor in the process. Clemson, after what might have been the most dominating performance of the day, crushing Miami 58-0, jumped three spots to take over the No. 2 position with 312 points, just one point behind OSU's 313.Texas A&M and Cal dropped out altogether, while UCLA and Navy climbed into the discussion.
