The fifth week of the 2018 college football season was a good one.

We had a massive near-upset to begin the day, with Clemson needing a fourth-quarter rally to hold off Syracuse at home. The afternoon games then didn't provide a ton of excitement, but the primetime slot did not disappoint.

Ohio State rallied from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Penn State at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa.

The new college football polls will be released later today. The Coaches' Poll is out at noon and the AP Poll is out at 2 p.m. E.T.

In the meantime, ESPN's Football Power Index has updated its rankings.

Here's ESPN's new top 10:

  1. Alabama
  2. Ohio State
  3. Georgia
  4. Penn State
  5. Clemson
  6. Oklahoma
  7. Michigan
  8. Washington
  9. Notre Dame
  10. Miami

ESPN's Football Power Index, as you can tell, is not very high on undefeated LSU. The 5-0 Tigers are No. 11 in the latest FPI.
