ESPN's Booger McFarland: "Don't Count Out Ohio State Yet"

Yes, the Buckeyes could still sneak in the playoff according to one ESPN analyst.

When the second College Football Playoff rankings were unveiled last night, Ohio State was No. 13. It looked like the Buckeyes likely squandered their shot at the playoff with last weekend's loss to Iowa.

However, Ohio State can still win the Big Ten East and ESPN's Booger McFarland isn't ready to slam the door shut on their playoff chances just yet.

Speaking on ESPN last night, McFarland said if the Buckeyes run the table and win the Big Ten, there's a chance, albeit a small one, that they make the CFP.

"I'm not even ready to bury Ohio State yet, because of the brand," McFarland said. "I know no one wants to hear that, but if they get the win against Michigan State, they go to the Big Ten championship game, they beat a Wisconsin team, now Ohio State is sitting there with some very, very good wins. Now they would need other things to happen, but they are sitting there in a spot that they could pounce a little bit if things happen the right way."
