Yes - we are currently over six months away from college football, But no, according to ESPN's Phil Steele, it is not too soon to start projecting where teams will be ranked when it does come back around. Earlier this week, Steele, who puts together one of college football's best publications each year, released what he believes will be a list of the AP Poll's top 10 teams in its pre-season poll. He claims that over the past seven years, he's 66-of-70. And he's nailed it the past two years.

Anyway, here is the list. Alabama and Clemson, the two teams in last year's title game, are 1-2 in the poll. Oklahoma and Baylor represent the Big 12. Florida State joins the aforementioned Tigers as ACC reps. LSU and Tennessee join the Crimson Tide from the SEC. Ohio State and Michigan come in at 6-7 for the Big Ten. And Stanford is the lone squad from the Pac-12.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Florida State
5. LSU
6. Ohio State
7. Michigan
8. Baylor
9. Stanford
10. Tennessee

Steele says that AP voters take into account a number of factors, including returning starters, bowl performance, final ranking the previous year and recruiting classes. Do you think he has it right for 2016?
