ESPN's Rece Davis Releases New Playoff Foursome, Top 16

Every week, we get a little more clarity regarding which college football teams should be considered elite. Ohio State, behind quarterback J.T. Barrett's resurgence, looks like a national title contender again. Baylor is seemingly scoring at will. LSU is the only undefeated team left standing in the SEC. And Utah appears to be the class of the Pac-12.

ESPN's Rece Davis has those four teams in his playoff, with Clemson, TCU, Alabama and Stanford knocking on the door. He also believes that Florida State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Florida, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Houston are worth keeping an eye on. Davis currently has a playoff field consisting of teams from four different conferences. The ACC is the one left out, at the moment.
