ESPN's Rece Davis Still Thinks Ohio State Is The Best Team In The Country

There's no debate that Ohio State, the No. 1 ranked team in the country in both polls, is not playing all that well at the moment. Saturday, against MAC school Northern Illinois, the Buckeyes turned the ball over five times, gained just 298 yards of offense and barely escaped with a 20-13 victory at home in Columbus. Neither Cardale Jones nor J.T. Barrett had that much success leading the offense - the duo combined to finish 16-of-29 for 136 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

But ESPN's Rece Davis, who changed his first name to Reese for ridiculous reasons, thinks that Ohio State is still the best team in the country. He thinks that OSU head coach Urban Meyer will just use this week's result to motivate the team moving forward.

Ohio State's defense is still elite, there is no question. But if the Buckeyes are going to contend again this year, they're going to need to figure out how to be more efficient on offense. They have time to figure it all out.
