Ohio State made a number of huge plays in its win over No. 1 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Thursday, but for our money, none was more impressive than the double-reverse touchdown pass from Evan Spencer to Michael Thomas.
Everything about the play was unbelievable. Spencer, a wide receiver, threw a perfect pass, and Thomas somehow stays in bounds by maybe an inch. Spencer posted an image from the play on Instagram, and naturally gave his receiver running-mate Thomas a shout-out in the process.
We'll have to see if Urban Meyer draws up something similar for the national championship against Oregon. We couldn't blame him if he tried to go back to the well after how the first play went.
