It’s a bad weekend to be a Big Ten official. Last night, the refs from the Minnesota-Purdue game were put on blast for an awful call late in the game. This afternoon, the officiating crew working the Indiana-Ohio State game are getting criticized for multiple missed calls.
The Buckeyes have been playing lights out on defense, but they’ve been unable to come up with a critical turnover. However, that’s not the players’ fault. It’s actually because the refs have made a few questionable calls in the first half.
Randy Wade, the father of Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade, believes his son’s team is playing against Indiana and the refs.
“They cheating us we had 2 turnovers,” Wade wrote on Twitter. He’s referring to a potential fumble from Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix that was ruled an incomplete pass.
They cheating us we had 2 turnovers….
Wade isn’t the only person that finds this officiating crew very suspicious.
Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones tweeted “I think these refs forgot this is the Big 10 Conference.” The former national champion also said “Are these refs watching the game, you can’t pick a defender like that.”
Despite multiple calls going against them, the Buckeyes currently lead 14-7 over the Hoosiers.
Ohio State fans can catch the rest of this game on FOX.
