Former Ohio State Defensive End Will Smith Shot To Death In New Orleans

Will Smith, a former defensive end at Ohio State, was shot to death in New Orleans late Saturday night. 

The 34-year-old was shot in the Lower Garden District of the city, according to the Times-Picayune, after his car was rear-ended and an argument ensued. Smith's wife was wounded and taken to the hospital. The shooter is being questioned and the gun has been recovered, per reports

Smith was a three-year starter at Ohio State and a former team captain. He helped lead the Buckeyes to the 2002 national championship. 

The New York native was a first-round pick by the Saints in the 2004 NFL Draft. He was a member of New Orleans' 2009 Super Bowl team and spent his entire career with the franchise.
