Former Ohio State Star Braxton Miller Gets Tough NFL News
Players all around the NFL are fighting to make a 53-man roster this time of the year. This includes former Ohio State star Braxton Miller, who signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles back in January.
Miller is known for his incredible career with the Buckeyes. He originally started at quarterback, throwing for 5,292 yards and 52 touchdowns in his first three years.
Due to a surplus of talent at quarterback, Ohio State moved Miller to wide receiver. The position change didn't stop him from being a playmaker, as he finished with over 600 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns in his senior year.
The Houston Texans took Miller with the 85th overall pick in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was waived by the franchise back in September of 2018.
Unfortunately, Miller was dealt tough news once again in his career.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles cut Miller in order to make room on their roster for veteran quarterback Josh McCown.
Miller had 13 receiving yards total in two preseason games for Philadelphia.
Now, the former Buckeye has to find a new team with only a few weeks left until the regular season.
It's a difficult situation for Miller, but he's still only 26 years old and has time to turn his career around.
