Now that Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Kyler Murray has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft, rumors as to which teams might draft him are starting to emerge.

According to Charlie Campbell of Walter Football, the New York Giants are expressing interest in Murray, along with quarterbacks Dwayne Haskins and Daniel Jones.

Barring a trade, the Giants are the first team that could pull the trigger on a quarterback. I've heard from sources that New York likes Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins, Duke's Daniel Jones, and Murray.

The Giants are certainly poised to be one of the most quarterback-needy teams in the league. They have the No. 6 overall pick in the draft and could have their choice of quarterbacks if nobody trades up ahead of them.

While aging quarterback Eli Manning is currently slated to be back with the team for the 2019 season, the Giants currently do not have a plan for what to do if Manning either retires after the season, or gets injured in the middle of it.

One problem that Murray might have should the Giants pull the trigger on him in the first or second rounds is that their pass protection has been suspect.

As of writing, Walter Football's Mock Draft has the Giants drafting Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins at No. 6, with the Dolphins taking Murray at No. 7.

Murray has still yet to 100 percent commit to football, too.

There's still a chance he could choose baseball and head to spring training with Oakland A's if he isn't content with his NFL fortunes.
