Creighton Coach Greg McDermott Will Not Take Ohio State Job

Greg McDermott was reportedly offered the job at Ohio State on Wednesday night. He took to Twitter to insinuate that he is staying at Creighton.

Ohio State and Thad Matta parted ways earlier this week, and last night, reports emerged that McDermott had been offered the Buckeyes job. Many Ohio State fans did not like the idea of McDermott taking over, and based on a tweet he sent moments ago, their fears have been assuaged.

Pretty much every big college basketball reporter is taking this as McDermott turning down the Buckeyes job.

Ohio State has been going down the list of potential candidates, but Xavier's Chris Mack, Butler's Chris Holtmann, Arizona's Sean Miller, and Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg have been removed from the running for the job in recent days, one way or another.

It looks like things may be heading back to square one in Columbus.
