Ohio State has secured the No. 2 seed in the 2018 Big Ten Tournament. The Buckeyes went 15-3 in conference play, behind only Michigan State.

That's a far cry from where most pundits expected the Buckeyes to finish. In year one under Chris Holtmann, many expected OSU to be a middle-of-the-pack Big Ten team, possibly lower.

Instead, led by Player of the Year candidate Keita Bates-Diop, the Buckeyes have earned a double-bye into the quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden.

Their opponent will be either the seventh-seeded Penn State Nittany Lions or the 10th-seeded Northwestern Wildcats. The only seeds left to be determined are in the 11-14 range.

OSU will play either Penn State or Northwestern on Friday at 6:30 p.m. on BTN.

The full Big Ten Tournament bracket will be unveiled later tonight. We'll have it for you when it comes out.

The 2018 Big Ten Tournament will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The action gets underway there Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The action will be broadcast on BTN, with the later rounds on CBS.
