Houston Chronicle's Twitter account blasts Urban Meyer.

Update: The Chronicle has released a statement on this matter, and its explanation is just what we figured it would be.

It looks like the guilty party is a staffer named Brian Reynolds, and he has apologized from his personal account.

Earlier: Earlier today, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer revealed to the media that he has his team practice a field goal return play called "Bama." Clearly, it's a reference to the Auburn's miraculous "Kick Six" against the Crimson Tide in 2013.

It looks like a Houston Chronicle staffer is either an Alabama fan or anti-Meyer, because right after OSU beat writer Tim Shoemaker tweeted out the coach's quote, he received an angry reply from the Houston Chronicle Twitter account.

As you might expect, the guilty party quickly deleted the tweet. Undoubtedly, the staff member thought he was tweeting at Shoemaker from a personal account, when in reality it was the company's handle.
