It's been a busy recruiting day for the Ohio State football program.
The Buckeyes landed one elite quarterback in the 2016 class - four-star Tristen Wallace - and missed out on another - four-star Jarrett Guarantano. Urban Meyer's team is ridiculously loaded at the QB position. On its current roster, Ohio State has J.T. Barrett, Cardale Jones and Braxton Miller, and has commitments from three four-star prospects in the 2015, '16 and '17 classes.
Ohio State likes to think that competition breeds excellence. The 2014 season certainly seems to prove this. This is why Zach Smith appears to be subtweeting QB recruits with the following tweet.
There surely will be some incredible quarterback battles in Columbus in the seasons to come.
And, to be fair to Guarantano, it's not like he's shying away from competition. Tennessee has three four-star QBs in the 2015 class.
