Video: Ohio State's Jeff Okudah Snags Ridiculous INT vs. Nebraska

Jeff Okudah intercepts an Adrian Martinez pass from his back.

It would be hard for things to begin much worse than this for Nebraska. Ohio State is up 14-0 early, with both the offense and defense clicking. A Jeff Okudah interception might define the early part of this game for both sides.

Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez thought he was close to getting the Huskers on the board. He delivered a strike to Jaevon McQuitty.

The pass was a little high, went off McQuitty's hand, and fell into Okudah's lap. The Buckeye defensive back was basically laying on the ground, but came up with his second interception from insider Ohio State's five yard line.

Okudah also picked off Martinez to end Nebraska's first drive. That turnover led to Ohio State's first touchdown of the day, a 15 yard run by quarterback Justin Fields.

Jeff Okudah has been an impressive player throughout his time at Ohio State, and is a potential first round pick. He finally got off the interception schneid, picking off his first career pass against Miami (OH) last week. He was a solid contributor for Ohio State in 2017 and 2018, but hadn't yet found his way to an interception.

Now, during the first half in Lincoln, that number is up to three.

Martinez is just 2-of-5 for 10 yards with the two picks, and has another 10 yards on the ground. Fields is 6-for-7 for 81 yards and a touchdown through the air, and has 32 yards and a score on the ground.

Nebraska will need the quarterback battle to get much, much closer to get back into this one.
