It’s only March, and the Michigan-Ohio State football rivalry is getting HEATED. Earlier today, Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith commented on the idea of holding spring practices in Florida, saying that it’s a good idea for a program in need of a “jump start.”
The comment was taken by some as a jab, including, of course, Jim Harbaugh.
Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. Welcome back!

Twitter burns don’t get much better than that. He’ll need to back it up on the field sometime soon when his Wolverines take on Ohio State, which has won four straight editions of The Game and 11 of the last 12. For now, he’s done a heck of a job injecting some juice into the rivalry in his short stint in Ann Arbor.
