Jim Harbaugh On Beating Ohio State: "Asking Politely Isn't Going To Get It Done"

Michigan leads the all-time series with rival Ohio State, but lately, it's been all Buckeyes. In the 21st century (since 2001), OSU has won 12 of the 14 matchups between the two. Yet, despite the Buckeyes being the reigning national champions, Wolverines fans have hope moving forward - Jim Harbaugh is now the head coach in Ann Arbor.

Monday, Harbaugh, speaking at a Swing to Cure Diabetes event, took some questions about the state of the program. When a young fan asked if Michigan could "please" beat Ohio State, Harbaugh had a funny response. Angelique Chengelis of TheDetroit News was on-hand for the event and captured the quotes:

Michigan is going to be a huge underdog when the two meet this November, so Harbaugh is right - it will have to be earned. That being said, Wolverines fans might want to be patient - it's unrealistic to think that Harbaugh will have the team playing elite football in his first year.
