Cardale Jones Reacts To Joe Burrow's Sports Illustrated Cover

It was only a matter of time before Joe Burrow graced the cover of Sports Illustrated. The LSU quarterback is having an incredible season, and is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

He has a big supporter in former Ohio State teammate Cardale Jones. The former national championship winner has to be supporting his alma mater as we head to the College Football Playoff, but like so many Buckeyes, he has a major soft spot for Burrow, who transferred away from the team before last season, when he lost the quarterback job to Dwayne Haskins.

With the SI cover, Jones was able to put together a pretty impressive collage. Jones, Burrow, J.T. Barrett, and Braxton Miller all shared a quarterback room at Ohio State at one point, and all four have been on the SI cover during their careers.

I can't imagine that there is another team that can say that.

Ohio State jumped LSU in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings. The two teams are the frontrunners to end up in the No. 1 and 2 spots when the Playoff is announced, in some order. The Buckeyes have a bigger opportunity at a statement win on Saturday, with a game against rival Michigan, which is playing its best football of the year. LSU takes on Texas A&M. A national championship showdown is definitely on the table for Joe Burrow and his old program. That would be quite the moment for Ohio football. [
