Ohio State’s quarterback depth took a big hit Wednesday morning.
This morning, Ohio State confirmed that backup quarterback Joe Burrow is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on a broken bone in his throwing hand.
Despite the injury, Burrow has remained positive that he'll return.
This afternoon, Burrow took to Twitter with a Game of Thrones reference in order to show that he can, and will, make a comeback from the injury.
Burrow was working with Ohio State's second-team offense, and was the clear backup for J.T. Barrett.
Now, redshirt freshman Dwayne Haskins will slide into the backup role, and Tate Martell will take over as the team's No. 3 quarterback.
The Buckeyes begins its 2017 season next Thursday at Indiana.
