Joel Klatt Compared Ohio State vs. Indiana To Mayweather vs. McGregor

Joel Klatt on FS1's Undisputed.

Joel Klatt had an interesting comparison for Ohio State's victory over Indiana on Thursday night.

Ohio State needed almost three quarters to pull away from Indiana on Thursday night, and one prominent college football analyst sees an interesting parallel between how the game unfolded and last week's Mayweather vs. McGregor boxing match.

Joel Klatt went on Undisputed Friday morning and said he thought Ohio State's performance resembled Mayweather's performance against McGregor.

Here's what he had to say:

"You know this game last night with Ohio State, it reminded me a lot of the McGregor-Mayweather fight, in which a clearly overmatched and outskilled opponent used energy, enthusiasm and passion early to create the illusion of evenness.

And in the end, it was experience and talent that totally trumped the opponent. I'm not concerned at all with Ohio State, in fact when you look at what this game was in its entirety, it was a dominant performance by what will go down as the best defensive front seven in our sport right now."

For the record, Skip Bayless, always the contrarian, did not agree - he's still harping about McGregor being screwed by the referee.

Ohio State fans - do you agree with Klatt's assessment?
