Through the first month of the college football season, the Big Ten has displayed a handful of top teams. FOX analyst Joel Klatt was on the Big Ten Network to discuss which teams are the best in the conference.
Klatt is extremely confident in Ohio State and Wisconsin. Both programs are coming off dominant victories and remain undefeated.
In fact, Klatt ranked Ohio State and Wisconsin as the first and second-best teams in the conference, respectively.
While the Buckeyes and Badgers receive most of the attention in the Big Ten, the Iowa Hawkeyes are also on Klatt's radar.
He ranked his top three teams in the Big Ten. The toughest decision for him was whether to rank Penn State or Iowa as the third-best program in the conference.
"I think it's a combination of Penn State and Iowa," Klatt said. "If you made me pick one today I'd probably say Iowa because its defense has been a little stronger."
You can listen to Klatt's breakdown of the Big Ten here:
In three weeks from now, the Iowa Hawkeyes will host the Penn State Nittany Lions. The winner of that showdown should cement their status as one of the elites in the Big Ten.
As for Ohio State and Wisconsin, it's hard to argue against Klatt's assessment of those two powerhouses.
