There's no question No. 5 Ohio State is one of the best teams in the country. The Buckeyes' ranking in the AP poll certainly validates that. But they're also passing the eye test each and every week. Is OSU on track to reach the College Football Playoff this season?
Several nationally recognized analysts are loving what they're seeing from Ohio State. But no national analyst loves OSU more than Fox Sports' Joel Klatt.
He thinks the Buckeyes are the best team in the nation right now — better than teams like Alabama, Clemson and LSU.
In fact, Klatt says Ohio State "does not have a weakness right now."
Do the Buckeyes really have no weaknesses? Through four games, they're playing phenomenally on both sides of the ball. But Ohio State has yet to play a top-ranked team. Its biggest test so far will come on Saturday versus Nebraska.
Then, later in the season, the Buckeyes will host No. 8 Wisconsin. Klatt believes that pivotal Big Ten contest will be the biggest game of the year — even bigger than Alabama-LSU.
If Ohio State can play against top-ranked teams like its played so far this season, there's no question they're one of the best teams in the nation. But as of right now, the Buckeyes still have much to prove.
Do you agree with Klatt's top 10 ranking? Is Ohio State really the best team in the nation right now?
