Week 5 of the college football season is in the books, and we're just a couple of days away from October. Time is flying.

Every week, Fox Sports' Joel Klatt releases his personal top 10 ranking late Saturday night or early Sunday. His list usually looks a little different from what you can expect when the new polls are released.

There has been some debate if Clemson deserves to remain No. 1 in the AP and Coaches polls following Saturday's lackluster win at North Carolina. Klatt has them nowhere near the top this week, ranking the Tigers sixth.

His No. 1 team? Ohio State, which he had sharing the top spot with Alabama and Clemson last week.

Here's Klatt's new top 10:

Earlier this week, Klatt predicted the Buckeyes would win the national title. That's before they demolished Nebraska in Lincoln on Saturday night.

It's true Ohio State hasn't faced its stiffest tests yet, but the personnel first-year head coach Ryan Day has is scary good. The defense is loaded and quarterback Justin Fields looks every bit like the five-star recruit he was in 2018.

The next few weeks will feature two important games for the Buckeyes: at home against Michigan State next week and at home against Wisconsin on October 26.
