The biggest question surrounding Ohio State this season is how will Justin Fields handle the starting job at quarterback. Less than 10 minutes into the season opener, the former Georgia commit is proving that he'll be just fine.

Fields is a former five-star recruit and many scouts have raved about his potential. The reason he transferred from Georgia is because Jake Fromm has cemented his status as the starter.

With Dwayne Haskins in the NFL, the Buckeyes needed a new signal-caller to lead Ryan Day's offense. It might be early in the season, but it's looking like Fields will thrive in Ohio.

In the first quarter of action against Florida Atlantic, Fields had the crowd rocking with a 51-yard touchdown run. His athleticism was on full display from the moment the game began.

Here is his first touchdown as a member of the Buckeyes:

Fields is far from done on the afternoon. In fact, the dual-threat quarterback showed that he's equally dangerous with his arm. After the rushing touchdown, Fields threw two quick touchdowns passes. You can see his first touchdown pass of the game here:

Quickly after hitting Jeremy Ruckert for the score, Fields then connected with Binjimen Victor on a 32-yard touchdown.

The marquee transfer wasn't done in the first quarter as he threw yet another touchdown pass. This time around he delivered a strike to Chris Olave.

Fields is making an early case for the Heisman Trophy with this performance.
