It is officially NFL Draft season. The Senior Bowl is this week, and the NFL Scouting Combine will be here shortly.
At Senior Bowl practice yesterday, Ohio State wide receiver Terry McLaurin turned some heads. He also drew praise from ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay.
You can count Kirk Herbstreit as another person who is a fan of McLaurin. Today on Twitter, he predicted the unheralded Buckeye will be "a steal" for whoever drafts him.
"Gonna be a steal for someone. Beyond the measurables Todd @TheTerry_25 does all the dirty work as a WR. Mentally as tough as any player in this draft and better WR than most realize. Glad he had a good start to his week!" Herbstreit wrote.
Some people will roll their eyes at Herbstreit, an OSU alum, saying this about a former Buckeye, but it's not a crazy opinion. McLaurin was overshadowed during his time at Ohio State, but he increased his production each season.
In 2018, McLaurin made the most of his 35 receptions, racking up 701 yards (20 yards per catch) and 11 touchdowns.
McLaurin will take part in the Senior Bowl this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET from Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. The game will be televised on NFL Network.
