Kirk Herbstreit Analyzes Ohio State's Win Over Indiana
Kirk Herbstreit joined Scott Van Pelt to talk about Ohio State's win Thursday night.
Ohio State struggled out of the gate against Indiana, but eventually wore down the Hoosiers' defense in the second half to take control. After trailing 21-20 midway through the third quarter, Ohio State rattled off 29 straight points to emerge with a 49-20 victory.
After the game, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit joined Scott Van Pelt to talk about Ohio State's win.
Here's what he had to say:
"After the way they played late last year, especially against Clemson - we know about the changes, we talked all night about Kevin Wilson coming in and Ryan Day and how J.T. Barrett's going to be improved and at halftime, they're down 14-13 and just a little bit discombobulated and not able to get things going.
Second half they went old school and kind of rolled up their sleeves and said we're going to control the line of scrimmage, get this freshman J.K. Dobbins going. I think that opened up other aspects of their offense and that's where you started to see that big-play ability of that passing game.
I think that's going to become their identity and I think playing this game before Oklahoma, who's a much better, more talented team, I think will help them work out the kinks and find out who they really are."
