ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit took to Twitter late on Saturday night to single out one team's performance during rivalry weekend.

The college football analyst's pick isn't surprising.

Herbstreit has extremely high praise for Urban Meyer's Ohio State team, which dominated No. 4 Michigan at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

It was the Buckeyes' best performance of the season - by far - and it came at the most-important time.

"Congratulations Ohio State!" Herbstreit tweeted.

"OUTSTANDING effort today against UM. Saved their most complete game for the biggest game on the biggest stage! Puts them right in the middle of the playoff conversation. 7 historical performance & the defense was DOMINANT!!

Ohio State improves to 11-1 with the win over Michigan. The Buckeyes will now head to the Big Ten Championship Game to play Northwestern. A potential berth into the College Football Playoff looms after that.
