Las Vegas' Predictions For J.T. Barrett's 2016 Season

Bovada has released some prop bets for J.T. Barrett's junior season at Ohio State.

Barrett, believed by many to be one of the top players in the country this season (BTN ranked him No. 1 in the conference in their top 100 rankings), is expected to have a huge year.

Here are the prop bets for Barrett's season, via Bovada:

  • Winning the Heisman Trophy: +1200 (bet $100 to win $1,200)
  • Throw more than 26.5 touchdowns: -130 (bet $130 to win $100)
  • Throw less than 26.5 touchdowns: -110 (bet $110 to win $100)

As the full-time starter in 2014, Barrett threw for 34 touchdowns. He totaled just 11 passing touchdowns in 2015, but he split time with Cardale Jones.

If he remains healthy, him totaling more than 26.5 passing TDs seems like a good bet. Ohio State's wide receivers are as good as they've been under Urban Meyer, the coach said at Big Ten Media Days today, and with the loss of Ezekiel Elliott to the NFL, the Buckeyes should throw it more often.
