LeBron James Issues Powerful Tweet In Response To Dallas Police Shootings

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has used his massive platform to make statements on social or political issues in the past - most notably after the deaths of Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner. This week, he's again attempting to use his reach to help promote change.

James, after the deaths of both Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, tweeted hashtags in their honor. Then, early Friday morning, he issued a statement to "stop the violence" in the wake of the deaths of five police officers in Dallas.
