Malik Hooker Tells Columbus Dispatch He's '100 Percent' Returning

Ohio State might've just inked its biggest recruit for 2017.

Malik Hooker, Ohio State's star redshirt sophomore safety, has told Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch his plans for 2017.

He plans on returning to Ohio State.

Malik Hooker has risen from obscurity to nationally known star this season as a record-setting safety for No.2 Ohio State, and he said in an interview with The Dispatch on Monday he is not in a hurry to leave, even if many are speculating he might declare for the NFL draft once the season is done.

“Right now it’s 100 percent sure I’m coming back to Ohio State,” Hooker said.

Hooker, who broke Ohio State's record for career pick-sixes this season, is believed by many to be a potential first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, if he was to declare.

Getting him back in 2017 would be massive for an Ohio State team that is already loaded with young talent.

Obviously, though, his mind can change, and it probably will, somewhat, by the time the season's over. The fact that he's even considering coming back for another year is a plus for Meyer's program.
