Lately, the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry has been pretty lopsided on the football field. The Buckeyes have won the last eight matchups, with most of those wins coming in convincing fashion.
Although we’re still several months away seeing the Buckeyes and Wolverines square off, an early prediction for that matchup has already been made by Michigan basketball star Hunter Dickinson.
On Thursday night, Dickinson tweeted “Okay I’m going to say it… We’re beating Ohio State this year.”
That tweet from Dickinson didn’t sit well with either fan base. Ohio State supporters were laughing at Dickinson’s prediction, meanwhile Michigan fans were confused as to which sport he was referring to.
Since the Buckeyes and Wolverines aren’t supposed to meet on the hardwood until early 2022, it sounds like Dickinson is talking about the Nov. 27 showdown on the gridiron.

We’re not really sure why Dickinson felt inspired to say Michigan will defeat Ohio State this year, but we can’t blame him for supporting his own school.
That being said, Dickinson’s tweet could come back to haunt him if Jim Harbaugh’s squad can’t snap their losing streak against Ohio State. Of course, fans are already convinced that’ll happen.
“Oh you have so much to learn pal,” one Michigan fan replied to Dickinson’s tweet.
“Dude, you jinxed Minnesota and probably U of M as well,” another fan said. “Don’t give them any bulletin board material!”
We’ll find out in late November if Dickinson was right about this being the year that Michigan defeats Ohio State.
