On Wednesday night, Ohio State announced head football coach Urban Meyer will serve a three-game suspension following the university's investigation into how he handled assault allegations against a former assistant coach.

Although Meyer will miss the first three games, Ohio State is still favored in all three contests. Oregon State, Rutgers, and TCU might not see Urban on the opposing sideline, but the Buckeyes still have enough talent - let alone an experienced coaching staff - to win games.

With Meyer's return to the sideline, Ohio State's odds to win the Big Ten and national title both increased. Since he won't be fired, oddsmakers feel comfortable with the thought Ohio State will compete at the highest level.

Here are the new odds.

Ohio State's odds to win the Big Ten moved from +175 (7/4) to +160 (8/5). The Buckeyes also received a bump in their odds to win the title from +850 to +750 - or 17/2 to 15/2 if you prefer.

Ohio State opens the season against Oregon State on September 1.
