All of the talk heading into the 2019 college football season circled around Clemson and star quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

After the leading the Tigers to a national title as a true freshman, fans everyone suggested Lawrence would be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft - whenever he left Clemson.

NFL analysts gushed over the arm talent and vision of the star quarterback, but the 2019 college football season has changed some of those opinions.

Lawrence has struggled against suspect defenses, while other quarterbacks in the potential 2021 draft class have thrived.

Following tonight's incredible performance against Nebraska, one NFL draft analyst is raving about Ohio State's Justin Fields.

In fact, he suggests Fields could be the No. 1 pick in the 2021 draft, not Lawrence.

"Trevor Lawrence is (still) really good, but he's not the no-brainer No. 1 QB in the 2021 class. [Justin] Fields is the real deal," NFL draft analyst Dane Brugler said.

Both still have another year of college football left - after the 2019 season - before they can enter their names into the draft.

Lawrence came into college as the No. 1 recruit in the 2018 class, but Fields was right behind him as the No. 2 recruit in the class.

Both have shown they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.
