Most probably assumed that Nick Bosa would be off to the NFL after his third Ohio State season, but he briefly admitted as much today.

Nick Bosa entered his Ohio State career with very high expectations. His brother Joey Bosa was a superstar for the Buckeyes just before he started in Columbus.

Joey Bosa played for Urban Meyer from 2013-2015, recording 26 sacks and 51 tackles for loss in three seasons. He left for the NFL after his junior year.

Bosa wound up going third overall to the then-San Diego Chargers. He's off to a very fast start, with 23 sacks in two NFL seasons.

Joey Bosa was defensive rookie of the year in 2016 and a Pro Bowler in 2017. Now, it looks like his little brother could follow a very similar path.

Nick Bosa got off to a fast start as a freshman in 2016. He recorded 29 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and five sacks.

He stepped things up this fall, recording 34 tackles (16 for loss) and 8.5 sacks. He also deflected two passes and forced a fumble.

Most reasonable fans probably knew that Bosa would be NFL-bound after the 2018 season. If there was any doubt, a slip of the tongue from the rising junior probably eliminates it.

It is very early to try and do a 2019 NFL Mock Draft, but Walter Football is already working on it. That site has Bosa slotted in at No. 5 overall in 2019.

It's impossible to nail something like that without knowing which teams are drafting where. Elite pass rushers are always a good bet to go early, though, and Bosa seems like a strong favorite to be one of the first off the board whenever he declares.
