Former Ohio State star Gareon Conley was still drafted in the first round, after all.
Gareon Conley, the former Ohio state cornerback who just this week was accused of sexual assault, has been drafted No. 24 overall by the Oakland Raiders. Conley, widely considered to be one of the best defensive backs in this year's draft, was originally projected as a top ten pick.
Earlier in the week, Conley was accused by a woman of sexual assault relating to an alleged incident in a Cleveland hotel back on April 9. Conley has strongly denied the allegations - and has reportedly agreed to both meet with police and give a DNA sample on Monday.
Conley is the third Ohio State player taken in this year's NFL Draft - behind only Marshon Lattimore and Malik Hooker.
