Nothing is out of bounds when it comes to college rivalries... especially in March.
A picture of a group of fans sitting behind Ohio State's bench was making the rounds on social media on Thursday during the NCAA Tournament, but it wasn't for supporting the No. 5-seeded Buckeyes as they took on No. 12 seed South Dakota State.
Quite the contrary, they were Michigan fans cheering on the Jackrabbits by default.
Well, the Buckeyes got the last laugh because they hung on to top South Dakota State, 81-73, so the school's AD. Gene Smith, decided to have a little fun with the situation.
He retweeted the picture with the caption:
"Sorry to send these guys home."
Keep in mind, this is some next level trolling given that OSU’s game took place in Boise, Idaho at Taco Bell Arena and Michigan is playing Thursday night in Wichita, Kansas at Intrust Bank Arena.
There's clearly no love lost between these two schools.
The No. 3-seeded Wolverines are taking on No. 14 seed Montana Thursday night at 9:50 pm on TBS .
