Last night's College Football Playoff rankings unveiling was fun for those of us who talk and write about the sport every day, but in the grand scheme of things, they don't mean much. The committee scraps and redoes the rankings every week, and as we saw last year, they can change wildly. On Tuesday, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer claimed that he forgot they were coming out that evening. Today, after OSU had been placed third, he says that he didn't even address it with the team.
