Ohio State CB Eli Apple Wants Coaching Staff To Use Adolphus Washington On Offense

Ohio State's offense showed great improvement this past Saturday against Western Michigan, but it was a defensive play that had Buckeyes fans talking after the contest. With Ohio State leading 24-6 in the third quarter, senior defensive lineman Adolphus Washington picked off a pass by Zach Terrell and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown. Washington, at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, looked somewhat nimble during the play.

After the game, sophomore cornerback Eli Apple took to Twitter to make an interesting suggestion. He joked that the coaching staff should consider using Washington on the offensive side of the ball.

Obviously, Apple is kidding around. But if Ole Miss can use 300-pound stud Robert Nkemdiche in goal-line situations, it isn't that far-fetched. We doubt Urban Meyer plans on listening, however.
