Ohio State Commit Chase Young Announces His Jersey Number

Ohio State signee Chase Young took to Twitter to announce which number he'll be wearing when he suits up for the Buckeyes.

On Tuesday, Ohio State commit Chase Young said he would announce which number he'd be wearing for the Buckeyes following the signing of his letter of intent. Today, he made good on his promise, posting an announcement to Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 251-pound defensive end from Maryland will be wearing No. 2 this fall for the Buckeyes.

Check it out:

Young is— quite fittingly— the No. 2 ranked defensive end in the 2017 recruiting class, and the No. 8 ranked player in the nation overall, per 247Sports. He received offers from just about every elite Division I program, but committed to the Buckeyes in July 2016, and ultimately saw the commitment through by signing today.

With his signing, Ohio State boasts the No. 2 ranked recruiting class in the nation, and the No. 1 class in the Big Ten, per 247Sports.
