Spence was suspended for three games at the end of last season for failing a drug test. The week before he was scheduled to return this year, Spence was suspended indefinitely for failing another drug test, and did not appear in a game this season.

The Pennsylvania native was a terror for the Buckeyes in 2013, as he accrued 52 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and a team-high eight sacks. He was a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the media.
