Ohio State and Michigan State may decide the Big Ten on the field this season. The Buckeyes just picked up a big win over the Spartans on the recruiting trail.

Belleville (Mich.) Oak Park four-star quarterback Dwan Mathis flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Ohio State moments ago. Mathis had been committed to the Spartans since September.

Mathis was offered by Ohio State and reportedly took an official visit to Columbus this weekend.

He revealed his decision on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 195-pound Mathis is the No. 9 Pro-Style quarterback in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He is also the No. 6 overall player in the state of Michigan. Mathis also holds offers from Cincinnati, Oregon, Kentucky, Pitt and others. Ohio State's current 2019 recruiting class can be seen below.
