Ohio State F Sam Thompson Won't Participate In CBB's Dunk Contest, "There's No Question I'd Win, Anyway"

Bad news, college basketball fans: Sam Thompson won't be participating in the 2015 State Farm College Slam Dunk Contest at the Final Four.

It's disappointing because the Ohio State senior forward is, perhaps, the best dunker in the sport. He does stuff like this:

And this:

And those two dunks likely wouldn't even rank in the top five of Thompson's greatest slams at Ohio State.

Thompson's reasoning for not participating in the dunk contest is fairly simple: he plans on playing in the Final Four. If he's not in Indianapolis as a player, he's not going to make the roughly two-and-a-half hour trek to Indy from Columbus to show off his dunking skills. He's pretty certain he'd win it if he did partake in the festivities, though.

Ohio State (21-8, 10-6 Big Ten) is set to face Penn State (15-14, 3-13 Big Ten) on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. E.T. and will be televised on BTN.
