Justin Fields will be compared to a handful of quarterbacks over the next couple of months since he’s a top prospect for the 2021 NFL Draft. However, apparently there’s one comparison that Ohio State fans won’t tolerate.
On Saturday afternoon, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky compared Fields to Bills quarterback Josh Allen. That comparison isn’t sitting well with Ohio State fans, as they’ve let their voices be heard on Twitter.
Countless fans are questioning Orlovsky’s judgement since Fields isn’t really that similar to Allen. Sure they’re both dual-threat quarterbacks, but Allen is a more physical runner and possesses a stronger arm. Fields, meanwhile, seems to be more precise with the football and can shift gears in the open field.
Orlovsky is one of the best analysts that ESPN has when it comes to breaking down films and analyzing quarterbacks. It seems like he missed the mark on this comparison though.
Comparing Justin Fields to Josh Allen? I’m going to East Lansing to escort Dan Orlovsky to prison

What is this commentator talking about? Saying Justin Fields’ pro comparison is Josh Allen…Fields already a better thrower than Josh Allen😂

Being compared to Allen isn’t a bad thing at all. After all he’s having a really great season with the Bills. The issue with Orlovsky’s take is that Fields just doesn’t have a similar playing style.
Regardless of who he’s compared to every week, Fields continues to prove he’s an elite prospect. He already has 200 total yards and three touchdowns in the first half against Michigan State.
Fields will try to keep his foot on the gas in the second half, as Ohio State holds a commanding lead without Ryan Day on the sidelines.
